A farmer took on firewood by tramping over mountains and through ravines every day, In order to get a day's rations and let his son goes to school with the remaining money.
一位農(nóng)民每天肩挑柴禾翻山越嶺，為了換取一天的口糧錢，并用剩余的錢供兒子上學(xué)。
When his son came back in summer vacation, his father let him pick firewood and sell it in order to cultivate his hardship spirit. His son felt reluctant that take on firewood by tramping over mountains and through ravines, so he gave up finally. The father can't be helped, so he sighed and let his son rest at the side. He still took on firewood day by day.
兒子放暑假回來，父親為了培養(yǎng)兒子的吃苦精神，便叫兒子替他挑柴禾上集市去賣。兒子不情愿地挑了一挑，翻山越嶺肩挑柴禾著實(shí)把他給累壞了，最后放棄了。父親沒辦法，只好嘆著氣讓兒子一邊歇著去，自己還是一天接一天掙錢養(yǎng)家糊口。
There's many a slip between the cup and the lip. The father was ill and he cannot get up. There was no income in home, so his son decided to provoke the burden of life. The sun had not yet risen, while the son learned his father cut firewood and sell it at the bazaar. Nevertheless, he was not a bit tired.
可天有不測(cè)風(fēng)云，父親不幸病倒了，起不了床。家里失去了生活來源，兒子終于挑起了生活的重?fù)?dān)。每天天不亮，兒子學(xué)著父親的樣子上山砍柴，然后挑著去集市賣，盡管如此，一點(diǎn)也不覺得累。
“Son, don’t tired out!” the father looked at his son busy figure felt pitying and loving and said to him. The son stopped the work and said to his father:“It is strange that I feel tired when you asked me to do, however, I fell the burden more and more light even though I pick the more heavy ”
“兒子，別累壞了身子!”父親又憐又愛地看著兒子忙碌的身影說。兒子這時(shí)停下手中的活兒，對(duì)父親說：“爸爸，真是奇怪，剛開始您叫我挑柴時(shí)，我覺得特別累，怎么現(xiàn)在我挑得越來越重，相反倒覺得擔(dān)子越來越輕了呢?”
The father nodded his head approvingly and said to his son:” your body's endurance is training out and It is important of your mature.”

In my opinion, it is wrong to cheat in examinations because it breaks the rules of schools. We students should be honest and try to get good results by studying hard instead of cheating in examinations. What's more, we should improve our study methods and get well prepared for examinations.

European Football and American Football
Although European football is the parent of American football，the two games show several major differences. European football，sometimes called association football or soccer，is played in 80 countries，making it the most widely played sport in the world. American football，on the other hand，is popular only in North America（the United States and Canada）.Soccer is played by eleven players with a round ball. Football，also played by eleven players in somewhat different positions（位置）on the field，is played with an elongated（拉長(zhǎng)的）round ball. Soccer has little body contact（接觸）between players and therefore needs no special protective equipment. Football，in which players make the greatest use of body contact to stop a running ball-carrier and his teammates，needs special protective equipment. In soccer，the ball is advanced toward the goal by kicking it or by butting（頂）it with the head. In American football，on the other hand，the ball is passed from hand to hand or carried in the hands across the opponent's（對(duì)手）goal. These are just a few of the features which distinguish（區(qū)別）association and American football.
