Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .In the evening before the Spring Festival ,families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes .They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck . People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune .

正月初一：拜年
除夕過(guò)后就是正月初一，人們都會(huì)外出拜年。這一天人們忙得不亦樂(lè)乎，彼此表達(dá)美好的祝福。據(jù)說(shuō)，正月初一這天人們不能扔?xùn)|西，這樣他們就可以把財(cái)富留在自個(gè)的家里，來(lái)年就會(huì)福星高照，幸福滿滿。

Paying a New Year's vist
Following the New Year's Eve is the first day of the Spring Festival, a day for paying a New Year's vist, during which people will be busy in giving best wishes to one another. It is said that people shouldn't dump things on the first day of the new year, so that they would be able to keep whatever worth of fortune they will be in possession of in the next year.
正月初二：已婚婦女回門兒，給狗狗吃的好
人們常說(shuō)在祭祀之后，財(cái)神爺正月初二這天要上天。為了向神表達(dá)敬意，人們這天要吃餛飩，這是一種形狀類似銀錠的食物。傳統(tǒng)上，已婚婦女要回娘家（回門兒），拜見親生父母。第二天，中國(guó)人還要拜祖先和眾神。由于這天是狗的生日，所以寵物和流浪狗都會(huì)有好吃的。
Second day, Birthday of Dog
People say that after being offered sacrifices, Tsai Shen, the God of Wealth, leaves for heaven on the second day of the lunar New Year. In honour of the deity, people will eat wonton, resembling the shape of an ingot.
Traditionally married women will visit and pay respect to their birth parents. On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. Since the day is characterized by the birthday of the dogs, pets and strays will be fed well.
正月初三：掃墓，不上門拜訪別人
過(guò)去三年間，家里有至親過(guò)世的人是不能登門拜訪別人的，這樣可以表示敬意。人們?cè)谡鲁跞@天會(huì)去掃墓。有些人就說(shuō)這天登門拜訪別人是不吉利的，因?yàn)槿藗冋J(rèn)為妖精這天會(huì)四處漫游，因此待在戶外會(huì)倒霉的。
Third day, Birthday of Pig
Families who had an immediate relative deceased in the past 3 years will not go house-visiting as a form of respect to the dead. The third day of the New Year is allocated to grave-visiting instead. Some people conclude it is inauspicious to do any house visiting at all, as it is believed that evil spirits roam the earth this day and hence it would be bad luck to be outdoors.
正月初五（破五）：拜財(cái)神爺
人們認(rèn)為這天是財(cái)神爺?shù)纳眨砸葚?cái)神。早上燃放爆竹，迎接財(cái)神的到來(lái)。商家在這一天又開始營(yíng)業(yè)。人們認(rèn)為這天掃地不會(huì)再算是不吉利了。在北方，人們通常在這天吃餃子，同時(shí)會(huì)去拜訪朋友和同學(xué)。
Fifth day, Birthday of Ox/Cattle
Welcoming the God of Wealth
The day is regarded as the birthday of the God of Wealth and hence respect is paid to the god. In the morning, firecrackers are exploded as a sign of welcoming the God of Wealth. All businesses will be reopened on that day. Sweeping the floor is not considered bad luck anymore. In northern China, people usually eat Jiǎozi (dumplings) on that day. Friends and classmates will be visited.
正月初七（人日）
農(nóng)歷正月初七這天叫做“人日”，傳說(shuō)女媧初創(chuàng)世，在造出了雞狗豬牛馬等動(dòng)物后，于第七天造出了人，所以這一天是人類的生日。同時(shí)，人們也將這一天叫做“人勝節(jié)”、“人七日”、“人慶節(jié)”及“人口日”。
Seventh day, Birthday of Men
The seventh day of the first lunar month is named renri (人日), literally meaning Human Day. It is considered to be the birthday of ordinary, or common men. The day is also called Day of Men or Men Day.
正月十五（元宵節(jié)）：吃元宵，賞花燈
元宵節(jié)，也叫做“上元節(jié)”，人們?cè)谵r(nóng)歷正月十五這天慶祝這個(gè)節(jié)日。這是一年中出現(xiàn)的第一個(gè)滿月，象征著春天來(lái)臨。元宵節(jié)也被認(rèn)為是春節(jié)的最后一天，同時(shí)這天也是家人團(tuán)圓的好日子。根據(jù)中國(guó)民俗，元宵節(jié)夜里，人們點(diǎn)著漂亮的燈籠到戶外賞月、燃放煙花、猜燈謎、吃元宵，共同歡慶元宵節(jié)。
Fifteenth day, The Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival, also called Yuanxiao Festival, is celebrated on January 15th of the lunar calendar. It is the first full moon night in the Chinese lunar year, symbolizing the coming back of the spring. The Lantern Festival may be regarded as the last day of the Spring Festival period. It is a good day for family get-togethers.
According to the folk custom of China, people on that night will light up fancy lanterns and go out to appreciate the moon, set off fireworks, guess riddles written on lanterns, and eat rice glue balls to celebrate the festival.
